Keyrenter Cares About Fighting Hunger

February 16, 2023

Every Thursday afternoon, a group of dedicated volunteers meetup at the Murray Park Church of Christ garage. This local food distribution center serves up to 1,200 clients as part of the Utah Food Bank program. Volunteers unload trucks, stock shelves, help clients through the food line, and carry groceries to the cars some people call home.

Many people struggle with food and housing insecurity on a daily basis. At Keyrenter Property Management we’re committed to giving back through quarterly Keyrenter Cares community service projects. We believe that by working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.

#KeyrenterCares

WHEN: February 16, 2023.

WHO: Keyrenter Property Management & Franchise team up with regular volunteers

WHERE: The Murray Park Church of Christ Food Pantry which is part of the Utah Food Bank program.
At the Pantry, Volunteers unload food trucks, stock shelves, help clients through food line, carry groceries to the cars some people call home.

WHAT: The Food Panty located the alone services around 1200 clients and there is not enough to go around. Vendors want to donate but the cost of shipping makes it difficult. Coordinators at the individual food banks have resorted to purchasing food directly from local grocery stores. Food and supplies are dwindling. Companies want to donate but the cost of shipping is prohibitive. Donations are dwindling because of supply chain problems associated with COVID.

Why: At Keyrenter Property Management we care about the community. Each quarter we enable and pay employees to volunteer through a Keyrenter Cares community service project.

The garage turned food pantry is cold but the dedicated team of volunteers will tell you that experience is heart-warming.
